STAIRS -- Residential and Commercial -- We can create a prefabricated staircase, assembled with traditional housed and wedged joinery, or install stair parts onto your site-built rough stair. We have a complete millwork shop to fabricate custom stair parts that sets your staircase apart from standard tract house styles. Our 25 years experience designing and building stairs enables us to design a beautiful staircase with unique elements for your home. And if you or your architect and/or decorator already have a design in mind, we can create exactly what you want to the highest quality standards. Our installers have years of experience in this specialized field and maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship. We can do straight, curved, elliptical and spiral staircases, with all wood components, or metal balusters and newel posts.
Preferably we?re contacted before the stairs are built, so we can check the basic layout. That way we can make sure you have the best possible stair structure for the space available ? best from an esthetic, as well as functional point of view. Then we can help you pick an appropriate style for your stairs, or make a few suggestions if you already have something in mind. Most often we combine some custom made elements for a unique look, along with stock parts to keep the cost reasonable.
WOODTURNING ? Design and/or fabrication of stair and porch balusters, newel and porch posts, columns and furniture legs. Hand turning of small runs, automatic copy lathe for larger quantities.
CURVED MOLDINGS -- Arched casings and jambs, curved base and crown moldings, curved railings and bar rails. Built up from solid wood or bent laminations.
CUSTOM MILLWORK -- Victorian gingerbread, corbels and brackets, historical millwork reproductions, craftsman style brackets, custom doors and mantles.
